His Name is Jesus

I LOVE hearing all the many, many names of Jesus. Some make me smile with how He has provided to me in that namely description while other’s bring me such a reassurance in His promises.

A few years ago I made the boys and I a set of ornaments with a different name of Jesus painted on each. Every night before bed we would hang an ornament and read a scripture reference that was attached to it. I loved this time of reflection,

So a few weeks ago, I began thinking and gathering for myself to have a month of Scriptures to read, study, and meditate on.

I’d love for you to join me in this and tell me . . . . what is your Favorite Name of Jesus?

May we be Full of Thanks & Giving

I’ve spent a great deal of time the last couple of days reflecting lots of moments & memories over the last year.

Every year I’m glad I started a “Joy Journal” but THIS year it has been the most rewarding & encouraging.

I got the idea from Laura Kelley on instagram years ago and couldn’t be more glad I did!

I have tangible reminders & pictures of many things that I’m thankful for, that bring me JOY!

I share this now so if you’re inspired as I was, you too can be ready for 2023.

Of course there is no need to wait until the new year to start!

I order the journals and the sprocket printer from Amazon.

I truly have so much to be thankful for ~ and I don’t say that flippantly!

Family. Friends. Views. Scripture. Scents. People. Provision. Faithfulness.

My list goes on & on.

It is fitting to thank the Lord,

and to sing praises to your name, O Most High.

It is fitting to proclaim your loyal love in the morning,

and your faithfulness during the night.

Psalm 92:1-2

this is always a favorite event for me and

this year I needed it more than ever!

we are always gifted with amazing weather.

and it was a BEAUTIFUL night

Just coming off of my most recent party, and reading Oprah’s Favorite Things Gift Guide made me think it would be fun to share some of my besties favorite things they brought to the party last weekend.

Fall Scents of Poopouri was a big hit.  I would for sure recommend having some on hand if you’re having a house full during the holidays!

I personally love so many things from Trader Joe’s . . . . I’m crazy about the felt Christmas Trivets and Pom Strands.  I wasn’t the only one gifting a Trader Joe’s fav as the Vanilla Pumpkin candles from Trader Joe’s were also well received.

I loved the local shopping  . . .  Richmond Blend Tea from Rustov’s was gifted and smelled so delicious.  I’m glad my name was drawn for that one!  I’m excited to try tomorrow morning.

Amazon, Hobby Lobby, & Christmas Tree Shop seemed to be the top pics for bargains on Fall & Christmas Themed Favorite Things.

And while I’m at it . . . . . I LOVE ~

this face mask - It just feels so good ~ especially when I have a headache.

this is on my “Kim Made Me Buy It List” - this works for all those tough to open items

anyone else have gnats . . . . . or even worse ladybugs? THIS WORKS!!

for the last 3 years I have used what I refer to as my Joy Journal. I adhere pics from my phone that correlate to the calendar day and jot a few words down. I think I’ll love having that years from now.

and finally because we don’t have enough blankets in our home, on our bed, or traveling w/ us . . . . this dupe is so cozy! I may have it in a couple colors!

happy FRI-YAY!!

Was a Moment ~ Now a “Sweet” Memory

Mama usually drove me to school during my early high school years.  Every so often our mornings included a McDonald’s drive through breakfast.

Just a few months ago I mentioned to Mama how disappointing it was that they no longer sold the cheese or cinnamon danishes.  I always had a tough time choosing between the two as they’re both sweet & delicious.

Imagine my surprise a few weeks ago when I saw the cheese danish is “back for a limited time”!

Yep . . . . . I had to indulge and I’m blaming Mama!
